2011 Kia Forte

The 2011 Kia Forte ranks 3 out of 3afforatable cars. This ranking is based on our analysis of 29 published reviews and test drives of the Kia Forte, and our analysis of reliability and safety data.
For 2011, the Kia Forte receives a few aesthetic and mechanical changes, but the most noticeable shift is the introduction of the Forte five-door hatchback.says that with these upgrades, the Forte is “good enough to compete against perennial segment stars from Honda and Toyota.”
In 2010, Kia unveiled the all-new Forte as an attempt to redeem itself from thepoor reputation among the automotive press. Kia succeeded, and the  became a reviewer favorite for its ample cargo space, affordable price and strong list of standard features. For 2011, Kia Forte sedan and Koup models remain largely unchanged. Kia, however, has added another model to the Forte lineup: a five-door hatchback.
The five-door hatchback will have the same engines as the sedan and Koup, but adopts a new six-speed automatic or manual transmission that was not available with the 2010 sedan and Koup models. The new transmission should improve fuel economy, but Kia nor the  have released fuel economy ratings.
In addition to a new transmission, the hatchback is shorter in length than the 2010 Kia Forte sedan and Koup, but it’s still longer than the  and  The 2011 Kia Forte hatchback will also have a new front grille, alloy wheels, a center console, paddle shifters, push-button start, a redesigned front bumper and an optional navigation system.

Thus far, no reviewer has commented on how comfortable the five-door hatchback’s rear seat is. Reviewers are silent about cargo capacity too. And though the exact figure is unknown, the five-door hatchback’s cargo hold should measure greater than the 2010 sedan’s whopping 14.7 cubic feet.
The 2011 Kia Forte five-door hatchback will be available this fall, but Kia has not provided a release date for the 2011 Forte sedan and Koup.  Keep checking back as more information is released on Kia’s newest additions
